Film Friendly Texas Certified Community
At the crossroads of U.S. Highway 281 and State Highway 36 in Central Texas sits the quaint Hill Country town of Hamilton. Hamilton is centralized 100 miles north of Austin, South of Dallas/Fort Worth, and East of Abilene. Travelers are enticed to stop in Hamilton by the sight of the beautiful historic courthouse and the unique shopping and dining opportunities along the way.
Hamilton blends the perfect combination of historical appreciation and opportunity for the future. Hard work, agriculture, neighborhood engagement, and a family atmosphere are just a few pieces that put together the Hamilton way of life. Welcome to our hometown!

Why Film Friendly?
On-location filming activity stimulates local economies by creating jobs for Texas-based crew members and local residents. On-location filming activity generates on-site spending on local goods and services to small businesses. This type of economic development includes but is not limited to: lodging, catering, transportation, location fees, lumber and construction supplies, local hires and more.
